Janine di Giovanni is a Senior Fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, a Professor of Practice in Human Rights and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A war and conflict reporter for over twenty-five years, she was recently made an Ochberg Fellow at Columbia University for her work on trauma victims. Her most recent book is The Morning They Came for Us: Dispatches From Syria. She was awarded the 2016 Courage in Journalism Award.
