Louis Hamelin
Louis Hamelin is the author of twelve books. His first novel, La rage, won the Governor General’s award in 1990. He also published a short story book called Sauvages in 2006, and many essays, among which Fabrication (Prix de la revue Études françaises in 2014). Published in 2010, La constellation du lynx won five awards, including the Prix des libraires and the Prix des Collégiens, and its English translation, October 1970, was longlisted for the Giller Prize. He is a book critic for Le Devoir, and he has taught narrative writing at Ottawa and McGill University, and was a guest professor à Université du Québec à Montréal. He also taught creative writing at Sherbrooke University. His last novel, Autour d’Éva, was published in 2016.
