Sam Sax is a queer Jewish writer and educator. Bury It won the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets and he is the two-time Bay Area Grand Slam Champion. He has received the Ruth Lilly Fellowship from the Poetry Foundation and is currently a fellow at Stanford University.
