Mary Karre has published four volumes of poetry: Abacus, The Devil’s Tour, Viper Rum and Sinners Welcome. ‘Grandma Moore’s Cancer’ (Granta 44), her first published piece of prose, was included in her bestselling memoir, The Liar’s Club (Viking, 1995). She is the Peck Professor of English Literature at Syracuse University
