Marie NDiaye

Marie NDiaye was born in France in 1967. She is the author of over twenty books, including Rosie Carpe, winner of the 2001 Prix Femina, Trois femmes puissantes (Three Strong Women), winner of the 2009 Prix Goncourt and Ladivine, which was longlisted for the 2016 Man Booker International Prize. Her play, Papa doit manger, has been taken into the repertoire of the Comédie-Française. In 2007, after the election of Nicolas Sarkozy, NDiaye left France with her family to live in Berlin.
