Isabel Allende
Isabel Allende was born in Chile in 1942. She is a prolific writer, widely translated, whose works include a short-story collection, Stories of Eva Luna (1989), and the novels The House of the Spirits (1982), Inés My Soul (2006) and, most recently, The Island Beneath The Sea (2010).
