Gabriel García Márquez

Gabriel García Márquez (1927–2014) was a Colombian writer and the author of over twenty works of fiction and non-fiction, including One Hundred Years of Solitude, Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Love in the Time of Cholera. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1982 and his Nobel Prize lecture, ‘The Solitude of Latin America’, was featured in Granta.
