Fleur Jeremiah was born in Finland but has lived and worked in England for most of her adult life. Her career in translation includes five Finnish novels, all in collaboration with her daughter, Emily Jeremiah: The Brothers, by Asko Sahlberg; Mr Darwin’s Gardener, by Kristina Carlson; White Hunger, by Aki Ollikainen; Things that Fall from the Sky, by Selja Ahava; and The Children of the Cave,by Virve Sammalkorpi. She is a member of a creative writing group, which meets at the Southbank Centre and has published a story collection, Tales from the Blue Room. She is currently working on a novel.
