Bella Bathurst is a writer and photographer born in London who now lives in Scotland. Her book The Lighthouse Stevensons (1999) won the Somerset Maughham Award. She is also the author of a novel Special and a history of shipwrecking and maritime skullduggery around the coast of Britain, The Wreckers (2005).
