Caryl Phillips

Caryl Phillips has written six novels and several books of non-fiction; he has also written for television, radio, theatre and film. Much of his work has concentrated on the legacy of the Atlantic slave trade and its consequences for the African Diaspora. He is currently professor at Yale University and a visiting professor at Barnard College of Columbia University.
