Joanna Kavenna is the author of several works of fiction and non-fiction including The Ice MuseumInglorious, The Birth of LoveA Field Guide to Reality and most recently Zed. Her short stories and essays have appeared in the New Yorker, the London Review of Books, the Guardian, the Times Literary Supplement and the New York Times. She has held writing fellowships at St Antony’s College, Oxford, and St John’s College, Cambridge. In 2008 she was awarded the Orange Prize for New Writing and in 2013 she was named one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists.
