Nawal El Saadawi is author of more than forty books fiction, including Woman at Point Zero and non fiction, including The Naked Face of Arab Women. She has received numerous awards for her work, including a Pan African Writers Association Award and several honorary doctorates. She is also a practising psychiatrist. She writes in Arabic and lives in Egypt.
