A member of the Quebec Order of Translators (OTTIAQ), Jean-Paul Murray has translated nineteen books, including several from leading Quebec writers such as Louis Hamelin, Jacques Hébert, Robert Lalonde and André Major. A former senior policy advisor to the Speaker of Canada’s Senate, he has written the address in reply to the Speech from the Throne for two Leaders of the Opposition in the Senate. He holds a master’s degree in Canadian Studies/Journalism from Carleton University, and lives in Old Chelsea with his dogs Rufus and Jasper.
