Nicola Barker

Nicola Barker was born in 1966 in Ely, Cambridgeshire, and emigrated aged nine – with her sister and parents – to South Africa. She returned to England in 1981 with her mother. Her works include Wide Open, Darkmans, which was shortlisted for the 2007 Man Booker Prize, The YipsThe Cauliflower and H(A)PPY.

Yuka Igarashi

Yuka Igarashi is the former managing editor at Granta and was issue editor of Granta 127: Japan. She has taught fiction writing at various universities including Columbia and Parsons The New School for Design in New York.
