Michael Byers

Michael Byers was born in 1969, the son of a research geneticist and a computer programmer. His first book was the critically acclaimed short story collection The Coast of Good Intentions, which won the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction. He is also the author of the novels Long for this World and Percival’s Planet. He is Associate Professor in the English Department at the University of Michigan.
