Zaina Arafat is a Palestinian-American writer. She is currently working on a novel and teaching creative writing at The University of Iowa. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, The Christian Science Monitor and NPR. She holds an MFA from Iowa and an MA from Columbia.
