Yana Punkina was born in 1984 and grew up in Sofia, Bulgaria. She has BA in Bulgarian language and literature from Sofia University, St. Climent Ohridski. Since 2008 she has worked for Bulgaria National Radio’s cultural channel, ‘Hristo Botev’. Her first collection of poems, Pause, was published earlier this year.
