William Fiennes
William Fiennes has written for the London Review of Books, the Times Literary Supplement and the Daily Telegraph. His first book, The Snow Geese, was nominated for The Samuel Johnson Prize and won the Hawthornden Prize, the Somerset Maugham Award and the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award in 2002. His second book The Music Room, was published in 2009. He is Director and co-founder of the charity First Story, which supports creativity and literacy in challenging secondary schools. Since 2007, he has been Writer-in-Residence at the American School in London, and at Cranford Community College, Hounslow.
