Tanya Rey was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Her work has appeared in Trop, the Morning News, McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and the Chattahoochee Review. She holds an MFA degree in fiction from New York University. She has worked as managing editor of One Story magazine and fiction editor of Epiphany, and has received fellowships from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, Ucross Foundation and Blue Mountain Center.
