Mehdi Tavana Okasi’s work has appeared in Catapult, Guernica, Glimmer Train, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and the Iowa Review, among others. He is the recipient of grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the National Society of Arts and Letters, and was named a 2016 National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellow. He lives in Harlem and is Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the State University of New York at Purchase.
