Mark Tully is a journalist and broadcaster. He spent twenty years as chief of the BBC’s Delhi bureau, before becoming its South Asia correspondent. His books include Amritsar: Mrs Gandhi’s Last Battle, From Raj to Rajiv, No Full Stops in India and a collection of short stories, The Heart of India. He lives in Delhi.
