John L’Heureux taught for over thirty-five years in the English Department of Stanford University where he was Lane Professor of Humanities. L’Heureux has written more than twenty books of fiction, short fiction and poetry. In 2006 he was awarded a Guggenheim Grant to conduct research for his most recent novel, The Medici Boy, which was published in 2014. He lives in California.
