Efua Traoré is a Nigerian-German writer who grew up in a little town in the south of Nigeria. Since her childhood she has been fascinated by rich, African mythologies. She recently finished writing a book for young adults in a mythical Yoruba setting which she is looking to publish. Her short story ‘True Happiness’ won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize 2018 for Africa.
