David Hare’s plays include Plenty, Skylight, The Blue Room and Gethsemane. He has received the BAFTA Award, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, the Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear, the Olivier Award and the London Theatre Critics’ Award (1990). He was knighted in 1998.
