Alexandra Lucas Coelho
Alexandra Lucas Coelho was born in Lisbon in 1967. She has published the novels E A Noite Roda (And the Night Spins), winner of the 2012 Portuguese Writers’ Association Award and O Meu Amante de Domingo (My Lover on Sundays), and five works of non-fiction, Oriente Próximo (Near East), Caderno Afegão (Afghan Notebook), Viva México (Viva Mexico), Tahrir (Tahrir), Vai, Brasil (Go, Brazil). She has been a journalist since 1987. She has lived in Jerusalem and Rio de Janeiro.
