Alan Warner
Alan Warner was born in the Scottish Highlands in 1964 and published his first novel, Morvern Callar, in 1995. He has written four more novels since then, the most recent of which is The Worms Can Carry Me to Heaven (Jonathan Cape). He has won a Somerset Maugham as well as the Encore and Saltire prizes.
