Amos Oz
Amos Oz was born in Jerusalem in 1939. His books include A Tale of Love and Darkness, Judas, Dear Zealots and The Same Sea. He is the recipient of the 1992 Friedenspreis, the 1998 Israel Prize for literature, the 2005 Goethe Prize, the 2007 Prince of Asturias Award and the 2013 Franz Kafka Prize. In 1997, he was appointed Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur.
