I joined Granta in 2017, having previously worked for an audiobook publisher and a literary agency. My role is quite varied and each day can be very different. I work closely with other departments (but particularly with the editorial and rights teams) to determine what commercial terms to offer when acquiring titles for our list and am also responsible for negotiating contracts for Granta Books as well as Granta magazine. A book I love from Granta’s backlist: Londoners by Craig Taylor. A book I always recommend: Cloudstreet by Tim Winton.
