Kevin Maxwell is awarded MBE for Forced Out

Kevin Maxwell has been awarded an MBE for his memoir Forced Out, which details his experience of racist and homophobic abuse in the police force. Speaking to the Independent, he described the honour as 'an acknowledgement by the state of the struggles faced by Black people in the UK.'
