Tara Isabella Burton’s debut novel, Social Creature, was published in June this year. She holds a DPhil in Theology from Trinity College, Oxford, and is currently the religion and faith correspondent for Vox.com. She has written for National Geographic, 1843 and the Wall Street Journal.
