Jonathan Schell

A New Yorker writer for more than twenty years, Jonathan Schell’s books include The Village of Ben Suc, an account of the destruction of a Vietnamese village by American forces; The Time of Illusion, on the crisis of the constitution during the Nixon years; and The Fate of the Earth. He was also a columnist for Newsday and taught at Harvard, Princeton and New York Universities. He died in 2014.
