Jennifer Haigh was born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania in 1968. Her first novel, Mrs. Kimble, won the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award for debut fiction and her second, Baker Towers, won the L.L. Winship/PEN New England Award. Her most recent novel is The Condition.
