Françoise Huguier is a documentary photographer. She has been awarded the World Press Photo Prize, the Académie des Beaux-Arts Photography Prize and has twice won the Villa Médicis Hors les Murs Award. She has produced numerous works on Africa, Siberia, Japan, Russia and India. She is also the founder of the Bamako Biennale in Mali, was the chief curator of the Luang Prabang Biennale in Laos in 2010, as well as the 2011 Photoquai Biennale.
