Alissa Quart is a poet, journalist and the executive director of the non-profit the Economic Hardship Reporting Project. She has written five books, the poetry volume Monetized and non-fiction including Squeezed and Branded. Her poetry has appeared in the London Review of Books and the Nation, among other publications.
