Claire Keegan was raised on a farm in County Wicklow, Ireland. Her short-story collection, Antarctica, is published by Faber in the UK and by Grove/Atlantic in the US, where it was a Los Angeles Times Book of the Year. Her stories have won the William Trevor Prize and the Olive Cook Award. Her newest collection, Walk the Blue Fields, was published by Faber in 2007. She lives in rural Ireland.
