Daniela Silva
Senior Designer, Granta Publications
I moved to London from Santiago, Chile, in 2006 to study for an MA at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design and I joined Granta in 2011. Since 2013, I have overseen the art direction and design of Granta magazine. I also work closely with the Granta Books production department on various design projects. The book I reread: Ways of Going Home by Alejandro Zambra (translated by Megan McDowell). I can read this book over and over again. It’s a beautiful story with a unique and intimate voice. It takes me back to my childhood and to the beautiful city I was born in, when the country was recovering from the tragedies of Pinochet’s dictatorship. My most dog-eared copy of Granta magazine: Granta 127: Japan. I love everything about it, in particular its art and photography.
