Samantha Smith
Samantha Smith is a native New Yorker who graduated with her MFA degree in creative nonfiction writing from Hunter College in May 2011. She works an adjunct lecturer in the English department at Hunter College. After completing her degree, Smith was nominated for the Schuster Award for Outstanding Masters Thesis. This past summer, she was chosen as a fellow of Columbia University’s Summer Institute on ‘Rethinking 9/11’. Currently, she is working on a memoir about her family. She was selected as one of Granta’s New Voices in September 2011.
