Caoilinn Hughes’s debut novel, Orchid & the Wasp (Oneworld/Hogarth 2018) was described by the TLS as ‘a remarkable, propulsive debut’ and was a finalist for the Butler Literary Award. Her poetry collection, Gathering Evidence (Carcanet 2014) won the 2015 Irish Times Shine/Strong Award. She won The Moth International Short Story Prize 2018. Her writing has appeared in Tin House, POETRY, Best British Poetry, Poetry Ireland, BBC Radio 3 and elsewhere. Her second novel will be published in spring 2020.
