William Weaver
William Weaver (1923-2013) was an English language translator of modern Italian literature. He was best known for his translations of the work of Italo Calvino, Alberto Moravia, and Umberto Eco. He received honorary degrees from the University of Leicester, UK, and Trinity College in Connecticut.
