Orikuchi Shinobu
Orikuchi Shinobu (1887–1953) was a Japanese ethnologist, linguist, folklorist, historian, novelist and poet whose writings profoundly shaped the ways that modern Japan views its premodern past. He is one of the founders of modern folklore studies in Japan.
