David Baddiel

David Baddiel is a comedian, screenwriter and television presenter. After graduating with a first in English from Cambridge in 1986, he started a PhD at University College London, but gave up after writing 90 per cent of it for a career in comedy. He has, however, always wondered about his lost career in academia.
