Czesław Miłosz

Czesław Miłosz (1911-2004) was a poet, prose writer, translator and diplomat. Fro 1961 to 1998 he was taught Slavic Languages and Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. He became a U.S. citizen in 1970, and in 1980 was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
