Bernard Quiriny
Bernard Quiriny was born in Belgium and lives in Burgundy, where he teaches law. He is the author of three novels, Le village évanoui (The Village That Vanished ), Les assoiffées (The Thirsty Ones) and Monsieur Spleen. Notes sur Henri De Régnier (Mr Spleen: Notes on Henri De Régnier ), and three story collections, L’Angoisse de la première phrase (The Agony of the First Phase), Contes carnivores (Flesh-Eating Fictions) and Une collection très particulière (A Very Strange Collection). In 2008 he received the Victor Rossel prize and the Marcel Thiry prize for Contes carnivores.
