Barbara Smith

Barbara Smith, Diana Athill’s cousin, was born in 1925.  She is a former journalist and editor who worked for the Economist for an inordinate number of years covering, at various times, the Middle East, the United States and Books & Arts.  She has three children and one grandson and lives in Norfolk.
