Annie Ernaux
Annie Ernaux published her first novel in 1974 and has since written more than twnty books, including Simple Passion, The Years and A Girl’s Story. In 2022 she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. ‘Hôtel Casanova’ is an excerpt from Ernaux’s book Hôtel Casanova et autres textes brefs, published by Editions Gallimard.
