Anne Tyler

Anne Tyler is the author of eighteen books. The Accidental Tourist won the National Book Critics Circle Award in 1988. In 1989 she won the Pulitzer Prrize for her novel Breathing Lessons. ‘The Beginner’s Goodbye’ is an extract from her novel of the same name, published in April 2012 by Knopf in the US and Chatto & Windys in the UK.
