Anakana Schofield’s debut novel Malarky won the 2013 Amazon.ca First Novel Award and the 2013 Debut-Litzer Prize for Fiction. Her second novel, Martin John, was shortlisted for the 2015 Scotiabank Giller Prize and the 2016 Goldsmiths Prize. ‘Bina’ is an excerpt from a forthcoming novel.
