Adrian Van Young is the author of The Man Who Noticed Everything and Shadows in Summerland. His fiction and non-fiction have been published in Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading, Black Warrior Review, Conjunctions, BOMB, the Believer, the New Yorker and others. His newest collection, Midnight Self, in which ‘The Flesh Strip’ appears, will be released in October 2023. He lives in New Orleans.
