Linda Polman

Linda Polman is a Dutch freelance journalist, specialising in Africa and the Caribbean. She has worked for numerous Belgian and Dutch newspapers, for European radio stations and for Dutch national radio and television. She is the author of We Did Nothing: Why the Truth Doesn’t Always Come Out When the UN Goes In, a compelling account of the failure of UN operations in Somalia, Haiti and Rwanda; De varende stad (The Floating City), an account of her travels through Malawi, Kenya and Zaire; and The Crisis Caravan: What’s Wrong With Humanitarian Aid.
